Dear Reader,
This is the origins of a journey together. Some may breeze through — simply adding it to the shelf of archived knowledge. Some might depart from here altogether— a clean, unfinished break, never looking back again. Others may embrace this — demanding more, digging-deeper or actively contributing. Whatever your experience might be, and I hope that it is a fulfilling one, there remains one universal truth — it will be unique. It will be yours to claim. To pass on…or not.
When I commenced my personal journey of writing I Am Q, it began, like many other ideas, in-flight. There is something about cruising altitude that I find inspirational. Perhaps it is the feeling of movement. The notion of going somewhere. In many ways, it is an appropriate metaphor for this story – one that is constantly in motion. As I hope you will soon discover, I Am Q is about the human connection, specifically as it involves our relationship with technology. And instead of being a closed book, we have made an effort to cultivate fertile soil for meaningful dialogue. Build channels for new connections. Encourage deeper, multimedia engagement in between lines of text and for this story to feel alive – because it is. I also have reason to believe that when this story becomes etched into ink, wedged between two protective covers and bound to a spine, it might just be a new beginning. And while there is an end to this novel, I can assure you it will not be the same for everyone.
